The typhoon Haiyan causes 10.000 deaths

Almost 10.000 persons have died in one of the provinces of the Philippines that were devastated by a typhoon last friday 8th of november. It has been the worst natural disaster that has ever happened in the Philippines and the most powerful typhoon in 2013.

Everything has been destroyed by waves of five and six meters, there were found cadavers hanging from the trees and uprooted homes. Many people died drowned and by the collapse of buildings. Most of the roads are unusable and the electrical supply is out of service.

People are going crazy and violent because they have lost family and friends and because the hunger.

People all over the world are helping and praying for everything to be okay again. I really think that people from the Philippines need help because it was terrible. Also the typhoon reached a poor place, if it would have been an other part of the world maybe the impact would have affected less.

MY BIRTHDAY

The past Thursday 22nd of August was my birthday. 

I went out to eat with my family, it was really good. Then I came back to my house and I was going to see one of my favourite tv programs, Pretty Little Liars when someone knocked the door. 

They were Sofia, Viki and Azadí that came to give me a surprise. They made cupcakes and like a big panel with photos of us, i loved it.

We went bowling to Heron City and Sofia won. Then we went to McDonalds to have dinner.

They are the best friends in the whole world, I love them so much.

ENGLISH BOOK

MY FAMILY AND OTHER ANIMALS

This summer holidays I've read a book called 'My Family and Other Animals'. This book is about an English family, the Durrell's, that move to Corfu, a Greek island.

They found a house helped by a man called Spiro and there they start a new life. Gerry Durrell is the smallest of all his brothers. He loves animals and to live adventures. So the book tells the story of Gerry and his family.

The writer of the book is Gerald Durrell, he was a naturalist, tv presenter, zoologist... 

He is known for writing many books based on his life, as an animal collector and a nature lover. He was brother of the famous novelist Lawrence Durrell.

Some other books of him are: The Mockery Bird,  The Fantastic Dinosaur Adventure, Gothic Horror...

Was born in Jamshedpur, India, on January 7, 1925 and died on January 30, 1995, days after his 70th birthday.

I didn't like this book, in my opinion it is boring and repetitive. 

I understood most of the words but I like the fact that the end of the book have like a dictionary with some of the words of the text.

Actually I don't really recomend the book but maybe other people likes it.

AFTER EARTH

The past 25th of July I went to the cinema with Viki, Sofia, Azadi and Maria because it was Viki's birthday.

We saw the film After Earth. This film is a film based on an original story idea by Will Smith. It's supposed to be in the future. A military father and his teenage son have an accident and end on Earth, one thousand years after some events forced humanity to leave Earth for a new planet. The son must save his dying father. His goal is to recover a rescue-beacon and also prove that he can live up to his father's reputation as a legendary soldier.

The protagonists of the film are Kitai Raige (Jaden Smith) and his father, General Cypher Raige (Will Smith).

The film is great, i loved it. I like the fact that Jaden and Will work together, both are really good. I recomend the film, it's very good.

AQUOPOLIS

Last friday 19 July, i went to a waterpark called Aquopolis with some friends: Viki, Sofia, Azadi and Maria.
It is in Cullera so we went by train and when we arrived to the train station in Cullera we boarded a bus that took us directly to Aquopolis. When we arrived we put our backpacks in a locker and we started by the 'Volcano Jacuzzi'. Then we slid for a slides that ended in a pool called 'Mini Zig-Zag'. Some of the other attractions we went are called 'Amazonia River' (an attraction like a river where you descend with a float), 'Black Hole' (it is a black slide and completely dark, where you have to pull with a double float), 'Waves Beach' (a huge pool in wich put waves and it seems that you are on the beach), etc.
We went to eat and while we were doing the digestion we went to a girl who did some tattoos for us. At the afternoon we returned to all the slides and other and at 07:00 p.m. the park closed so we came back to the train station.
When we arrived to Valencia we went to McDonalds to have an ice cream and then everyone came back to her house.

My favorite attraction was 'Amazonia River', it was very funny. The day was perfect and we had a lot of fun.

CARNIVAL

Last friday 8th february we celebrated carnival at the school.

Carnival it's a party that consist of diguising of the thing that you want, a group theme, all os the same thing, etc. 

In my school, the three days before the party, the carnival king sent us a letter saying what we have to wear at next day (like cat whiskers for exemple), and if you wear it he give's you sweets, if not he throw you flour. On carnival's day secundary do a contest (some of the prizes are to the most original, the funniest, the sexiest, etc.). You show your costume to all the people and you can do a choreograpy too. 

I was dressed as a cheerleader with Carmina, Sofia and Viki, and we did a dance with a Madonna's song, but unfortunately we didn't won any prize but we had a great time and in conclusion, for me, it was the best carnival ever.

EXCHANGE IN NORMANDY

The last Wednesday 10th April my class and I went to Normandy. It was an exchange so we went to French families houses after they came in March. We left the airport of Valencia at 13:00 and we arrived to Paris at 15:30.

We had to wait several hours to the bus at  the airport because there was an accident and the bus couldn't arrive.

We arrived to Deauville, the village, at 23:45 and we went to our houses to sleep.

My correspondent is called Sacha; he has a brother of thirteen years called Paul and a sister of nine years called Eugenie. My French family spoke Spanish because they lived for six years in Spain. They had a house at the middle of the field.

At 8:30 at morning we arrived to the school and then we went to an excursion or we stayed at school.

At afternoons we sometimes meet with the other French and Spanish people but there were times that we stayed at the house and I was bored.

Tuesday was the last day. When we arrived to the school we did some photos and then we said goodbye to each other. At the bus Ana, our teacher, said to us that she had a surprise. She told us that we were going to do a visit to Paris before we went to the airport.

We saw the Eiffel Tower and we loved it. Then we did a little tour with the bus and a guide told us things about Paris.

At 16:00 the plane left the airport and we arrived to Valencia at 18:15.

I’ve loved the trip, I had a great time and it was a beautiful experience.

What I disliked was that sometimes my correspondent didn’t come out and I had to stay bored at home.

What I loved was the trip to Paris, it was great and Paris is beautiful.

In conclusion I had a very good time and I would come back to France some day.

ENGLISH BOOK

This christmas holidays I had read a book that is called Wuthering Heights. This book it's about love, revenge and bad-tempered persons. All starts when Mr. Earnshaw, who had two children, Hindley and Cathy, brought a gypsy child of Liverpool. Heathcliff, the gypsy child, was hated by Hindley, who hit him, but Cathy and Heathcliff become good friends. When they became older Hindley had married and with his wife had a baby, Cathy was in love with Edgar Linton, he lived at Thruscross Grange, and Heathcliff was trated like a servant. Heathcliff wants revenge of Hindley so the book tells all the story of Wuthering Heigths, Heathcliff, Catherine, Hindley, Cathy, etc.The author of the book is called Emily Brontë, she was an english novelist and poet. She was born on 30 july 1818 in Thornton. Her most important novel is Wuthering Heigths, published on 1847 and considered a classic of english literature. Wuthering Heigths has been repeatedly brought to the movies. The world's most valued adaptation was directed by William Wyler in 1939. She died of tubersulosis on 19 december 1848.For me the book is really good, is interesting. I think it's a bit long and there are many moments that are not well understood. There are some boring parts that I didn't like. But overall the book is great.
