GERMANY

On Tuesday May 20th, my class and I travelled to Germany, it was our prom trip.

We did an exchange with students from a school in Berlin. They came in March to Valencia and they stayed in our houses for a week. Then we travelled to Berlin and we stayed four days in their houses and three days in a hostel.

On Tuesday the 20th we took the plane from Spain to Zurich and then we took another plane from Zurich to Berlin. When we arrived to the airport from Berlin all the families were there waiting for us so each of us went with their families.
The second day we visited their school, it was really big.

The next days with them we visited an amusement park, the Berlin wall, famous places in the city, Potsdam… But some of the best things we went to was the Berlin Dungeon, a horror house.

On Saturday morning we stayed with the families and at the evening they took all of us to a hostel and the German people came back to their houses. The time we spent at the hostel was the best of the trip, we had so much fun all together.

On Tuesday the 27th we took a plane from Berlin to Frankfurt and then another plane from Frankfurt to Spain.
This trip was really good, Berlin is a beautiful city.

THE HUNGER GAMES

The past 11th of May I met with some of my friends (Viki, Sara, Sofía, Azadí and Laura) and we worked in an English project from school.

The project was about choosing a film and recording some scenes; we chose The Hunger Games. I played Effie Trinket and a tribute from the arena. We had so much fun recording it and in my opinion it’s really good.

Hope you like it!

THE FAULT IN OUR STARS

Some weeks ago I read the book The Fault in Our Stars (Bajo la Misma Estrella in Spanish) so I decided to write about it.

The book is about a sixteen-year-old girl called Hazel Grace; she is a cancer patient and because of her cancer she has to use a portable oxygen tank to breathe properly.
One day her parents take her to a support group where she meets Augustus Waters, a seventeen-year-old that had osteosarcoma (a kind of cancer). They soon become friends and they fall in love.
Hazel likes a novel called An Imperial Affliction so much but she doesn’t get the end because it ends midsentence so she and Augustus decide to make a trip to Ámsterdam to visit the autor.

The Fault in Our Stars is written by John Green, an American author of young adult fiction. At 2006 he won a prize for his novel Looking for Alaska and The Fault in Our Stars (his most recent novel) debuted at number 1 at the New York Times Best Seller list in 2012.

I loved the book, it’s really good but also really sad. I love it because it’s about a love story that could happen in real life, I mean, it’s non-fiction. I really recommend it.
